Spiritual formation

Mass concelebrated by the Cardinal and Bishops at the Grand Seminary of Kabgayi

Since the first goal of the seminary is to conform the future priest to Christ, the High Priest, it is evident that the first obligation falls upon spiritual life. It aims at the closest union, the most personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is structured around moments provided for in the daily schedule which, in this area, cannot be restrictive. There are times when the whole community gathers to live its belonging to the Lord as a people. There are also sufficiently free moments to allow each person to place, of his own accord, his personal prayer.

Thus the celebration of the Eucharist, the Liturgy of the Hours, penitential celebrations, the recitation of the Rosary, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the Way of the Cross, prayer in life teams and in Catholic action movements and prayer groups, the annual retreat, monthly recollections, prayer vigils, etc., become irreplaceable spiritual activities.

« Where two or three are gathered, I am there among them » (Mt 18:20)
